Work Opportunities at Phoenix Gardens
There is always something to do at Phoenix Gardens and as we grow, we need help to get our work done. We are always looking for energetic folks looking to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the local food movement. Most of our work opportunities are barter for food. For the work we need, we negotiate a hourly rate. Payment is made with credits that can be used to purchase local food products. In some cases, there are positions that we will compensate with good old Americam cash.
Some of our positions are on-going. Some are on an as-needed basis. In addition to getting some great local food, you can learn a lot about our growing practices and the local agriculture movement.

CSA Workshare Program
This is the engine of our work program at Phoenix Gardens. In lieu of payment for a share in our CSA program, participants agree to work about 3 hours per week at our farms. Opportunities will be available for all CSA seasons and for both our Lawrenceville and Jefferson locations. Because this program is so critical to meeting our labor needs, an application and short interview will be required. We are especially in need of people who can work weekeday mornings.

Proofreader-Copy Editor
This position involves proofreading and editing various communications that are developed at Phoenix Gardens. These communications can include our website, flyers and newsletters, blog posts and conference presentations. This position is on an as needed basis and will be compensated with Phoenix Gardens credits. You can click the link below to email a request for an application.
Farmers Market Representatives-$$$
Phoenix Gardens is looking for some energetic folks to man our tents at several local farmers markets this season. The position involves picking up produce, tents and material at Phoenix Gardens on market day. Going to market and setting up. Interacting with customers and educating consumers about local food. Bringing home any unsold products and reconciling accounts. Interested persons should be able to committ to the position for the majority of the market season. These positions pay a small salary plus bonus. In some cases, a gas allowance may be provided as well.
