Mornings at Phoenix Gardens is our schedule of on-farm educational seminars covering all aspects of local agriculture, homesteading and living a more fulfilled life.  Courses will be taught by the staff of Phoenix Gardens and guest speakers who are experts in their fields.  Classes will be taught in both indoor and outdoor settings and will include many opportunities for hands on experience.  Class sizes will be small to ensure that your learning experience is an enjoyable and rewarding.  All courses will have reasonable fees and , for a few dollars more, participants will have the option of enjoying a light lunch made from locally grown foods and networking with other local gardeners.

Preparing Your 2012 Vegetable Garden 

January 21st  10AM-2PM

If you are planning to have a vegetable garden this year, NOW is the time to start getting ready.  This mini course will cover all aspects of garden prep including garden layout, raised beds, soil preparation and crop planning.  No matter what size of your garden you will have, this course will give you a lot of great information to help you improve your chances of success
